Hi, I'm Joyce đź‘‹
As a Master of Design candidate at UC Berkeley (December 2025), I am a product designer focused on crafting meaningful and immersive experiences. I am actively seeking a full-time role where I can apply my skills to enhance everyday life.
Here’s how I turn that mission into reality, transforming complex challenges into clear and intuitive solutions.
A user-centered redesign of an AI writing assistant. I drove the design process from research to final UI, focusing on simplifying complex workflows and creating a more intuitive and efficient tool for content generation.
Tasked with transforming an unprofessional landing page into a client magnet, I redefined the visual identity and UI from the ground up. I personally coded the final design to ensure a seamless launch and a polished user experience.
This project involved 18 user interviews,
the development of 9 innovative features, and the analysis of 20 datasets. It achieved
a 14% increase in perceived value.
We conducted 30 user interviews and identified 126 website issues, leading to significant improvements in usability. The NPS increased to +20, and the SUS saw a 47% enhancement.

My design process is grounded in a deep understanding of the user. I employ a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods—from in-depth interviews and journey mapping to surveys and data analysis—to uncover actionable insights.
I translate initial ideas into low-fidelity wireframes to rapidly explore concepts and align with stakeholders on the core structure. From there, I build high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that simulate the final user experience.
I validate design solutions through rigorous usability testing and data-informed A/B testing to identify pain points, measure effectiveness, and continuously improve the user experience based on real-world feedback.
I believe the best products are built when design, product, and engineering work in close partnership. I work to bridge technical constraints with user needs, ensuring our shared vision translates into a cohesive and successful product.
Figma is my primary tool for the entire end-to-end design process. I use it for everything from initial wireframing and creating high-fidelity user interfaces to building complex, interactive prototypes for testing.
I leverage Illustrator for crafting custom icons and illustrations, Photoshop for sophisticated image editing and mockups, and After Effects to create micro-interactions and animations that enhance the user experience.
This foundation helps me communicate more effectively with engineers, create more practical and scalable design solutions, and ultimately bridge the gap between design and development to ensure a high-quality final product.
Design is more than my profession; it’s the lens through which I explore the world. I believe great solutions come from a place of genuine curiosity and a passion for the craft. Here’s a little more about my journey, my side projects, and what fuels my creativity outside of work.
